JUST A NOTE!
Sizes less that 8x10 inches will be painted on flat panels instead of stretched canvas so that they can comfortably be painted with fine detail. Sizes 8x10 inches and 10x10 inches can be painted on either panel or canvas. 9x12 inch paintings can only be painted on canvas.

Step Two
Let me know what you'd like!

These portraits are based on photo references. I will need you to either email some examples or upload the pictures you'd like me to use onto the online form.

Clear, well-lit, detailed pictures are obviously ideal. But! One of the benefits of hiring a professional portrait painter is that I am used to working with people who might not have the best pictures available due to life circumstances. I am very happy to sharpen detail, add or omit certain things, and work with unclear, fuzzy, and old photos. A painting essentially has any kind of "photoshop" you'd like built in as long as you specify what you would like :D

If you can't decide between sizes, feel free to pick multiple and I can help you pick which one will work with your references the best.
Step Three
Understanding Billing
Payment Information
Once we're both on the same page about what you would like, the money part comes in.

Payment can either be paid in full upfront or through two payments. Payment plans require a deposit of 50% of the full price. The rest will be paid after portrait completion and before shipment to the customer.

I like to send images of the painting process to commissioners, so you will be able put in plenty of input throughout the portrait process.

All transactions are done with secure invoices emailed directly to you through Square merchant processing.
Step Four
Waiting for your portrait to be completed
This is the most exciting part!

Oil paint cures slowly and must be completely dry before shipping to avoid damage. This means that paintings are complete and ready to ship between 2-4 weeks. If you have a tight deadline in mind, make sure to let me know and I will do my best to accommodate. Larger portraits tend to take a little more time than smaller ones.

Oil painting is a several centuries old tradition and is extremely archival. This means that your artwork will last through the generations with minimal care. What's a better way to memorialize your pet for eternity?

Paintings can be hand delivered to those living in Buffalo but will be shipped through the USPS to all others. I offer free shipping to all customers in the United States. Rates to other countries vary by region, but I try to keep it low cost.
